Andrew Pekler - Cover Versions, limited edition LP, Senufo edition, December 2012
The collage and sample-based music of Andrew Peckler on Cover Versions is adequately adorned by hand-made, détourned second-hand LP covers where the Situationist ethos (“turning expressions of the capitalist system and its media culture against itself” – Wikipedia) meets modern habits of re-use and rehab. I haven’t heard this disc, but Pekler’s 2009 Entanglements In The Orthopedic Sensorium LP on Schoolmap is a favorite.
